Women's Softball Season

The 2026 softball season has been another great chapter for women’s cricket at Grayshott, with the Strikers and Chargers continuing to show exactly what #MoreThanAGame means.

The season has brought together women with different levels of experience, from those discovering cricket for the first time to players returning to the game, and those looking to develop their skills further.

While there have been plenty of competitive matches, the real success of the season has been the continuing sense of community in the squad. Training together, supporting one another, welcoming new players and sharing plenty of laughs (and cake) along the way have all been just as important as what happened on the scorecard.

The Strikers and Chargers have created opportunities for women to play, learn and grow together, while building friendships that extend well beyond match day. That inclusive approach is at the heart of the softball section, where cricket is about staying active, meeting new people, having fun and feeling part of something.

The softball teams are an important part of the wider pathway at Grayshott. With the women’s section expanding to include hardball this year, there are now even more opportunities for players to progress, try something new and play the format that suits them.

Here’s to the Strikers, the Chargers, our wonderful coaches, umpires, scorers, bakers and supporters - everyone who has made the 2026 season so special. 💚🏏 ♥️
