Womens Cricket at Grayshott

Grayshott Cricket Club warmly invites women of all skill levels to discover Hardball & Softball Cricket. Since launching in 2020, the women’s section has grown significantly, offering a friendly and welcoming environment for newcomers and experienced players alike.

Welcoming New Adult Members

Grayshott Cricket Club welcomes new adult members and in 2026 will again be offering FREE membership to new adult members for their first year at the club.

Summer Coaching Sessions

Summer Coaching Sessions take place at the Sportsfield in Grayshott, with sessions running from 21st April to end August.

Women's Cricket

​Teams: In 2026, Grayshott will field four women’s teams, for players 16yrs+. Two Softball teams, the Chargers and Strikers, competing in the I’Anson Softball League. Two new hardball teams have been created for 2026; Stormers will play in Hampshire Tier 4 League, and Raiders will play in the new I'Anson Hardball League. We also have plenty of friendly matches against local teams.

Focus: Beyond playing cricket, it’s a great way to meet new people, stay active, and have fun. For the women’s section, cricket is truly #MoreThanAGame.​

Coaching and Membership

Free Membership for New Members: Players joining the club in 2026 enjoy free membership for their first year.​

Coaching Sessions:

Winter coaching takes place at Amesbury School, from 9th Feb - 30th March. 9th Feb 730pm - 830pm, 16th Feb - 30th March 645pm - 8pm.

 

Summer coaching takes place every Tuesday from 645pm to 800pm at the Sportsfield in Grayshott, from 21st April until the end of August.​

Family-Friendly Venue: If you need to bring the kids along, there’s a MUGA and playground area nearby to keep them entertained.​​

Games and Equipment

Game Days: Matches are held on Sunday afternoons, against teams in the l’Anson and Hampshire Tier 4 leagues, and in friendlies.​

 

Equipment Provided: The club supplies including bats, stumps and balls. No protective gear required is required for Softball. For Hardball, the ECB guidelines are followed, with protective equipment required. 

 

Kit: In 2024, we worked with Lacuna Sport to create a bespoke design top for the Women's section. If you’d like to know more or order a Women’s top, please contact Al Grant, alexandra.grant77@gmail.com

Joining our club couldn't be easier, just register securely online via the Teamo icon below. Whether you're completely new to cricket or played years ago and want to get back into, come along and join in.

Teamo is the app used by the club for registration, payments and allowing you to view up and coming matches and show your availability for coaching sessions and matches.
