About the Coach Gary Clapham

 

Friendly, personal, and community‑oriented.

​

  • Gary has played cricket for +40 years  , starting as a junior at just 7 years old . He played for Surrey CAG from U13 through to U19 before being sponsored by SCCC to obtain his Advanced Coaching Certificates at Lilleshall National Sports Centre , becoming one of the youngest Advanced coaches in the UK .  

  • Gary’s coaching CV spans Allstars [Grass Roots] Junior U11 , U12 and U13 [Club] and Surrey CAG squads up to U19 level [County].

  • Gary is still playing competitive cricket, he opens the batting for Hampshire 1st XI in the over 50’s National County Championships .
