Get Involved - Volunteering

No Better Way to Support Your Club

Our club is run entirely by volunteers and without them, we simply couldn’t operate.

We rely on volunteers to keep everything running, from coaching the next generation of players and maintaining our grounds to helping with administration and organising social events. Any time you can give makes a difference, and we’ll provide any training or support you need. Being a member means contributing to the club’s success and future growth. Your time and effort help create a thriving, welcoming environment for everyone. There are many ways to get involved, and every contribution counts!

Coaching

Coaching

Coaching is a fantastic way to engage with your child’s cricket journey!

Junior cricket wouldn’t exist without the dedication of parents. Join our Grayshott Cricket Coaching Team and share your passion for the game while teaching young players valuable skills like teamwork, discipline, and resilience. It's rewarding to watch players grow, both in technique and confidence.

As a coach, you also build strong community ties, develop leadership abilities, and help foster the next generation of cricketers. No prior experience is needed, just enthusiasm! Support is available within the club and online. Parents typically help with their child’s age group, but you're free to choose.

Ground Maintanence

With two grounds to maintain, there are always tasks to be done from cutting the grass to marking lines on the artificial pitches.

If you enjoy the fresh air then becoming part of our ground care team is a great way to become involved with the club.

Typically just two/three hours of your time a week from March onwards through to September where tasks include;

  • Rolling the cricket square

  • Marking the boundary line

  • Cutting our outfields at Broxhead

  • Maintaining the markings on our artificial pitches

  • Keeping our pavilion patios tidy

Outside of these months support reduces to a monthly requirement for a a couple of hours

Any training required will be provided and is great way to keep our grounds looking good.

Administration

Administration

Most of our club’s systems and processes are electronic, making it possible to support the club easily from home.

Roles include Safeguarding, Financial, Administrative maintaining Teamo or Secretarial. The club’s committee meet virtually most of the time recognising our volunteers precious time.

Social Events

Social Events

Cricket is as much about community as it is about the game. If you love organising events, whether it's a quiz night or a BBQ evening, there’s a role for you.

Alternatively, if you’re keen on pulling pints and joining the social atmosphere behind the bar, we have two bars to enjoy

Coffee Mornings

Our Coffee Mornings run during our All Stars & Dynamos season, from 10th May - 28th June and are very popular with parents, club members and are great fun for families. These help us to raise funds for the club, it also provides another way for families to support the club. All we ask is for just three hours of your time one Saturday morning.
