Indoor Cricket Fun

The Softball section kicked off their Indoor Cricket season at the weekend.

The 6-a-side squad, including 2 players making their indoor debut, lost the toss and were put into bat by Churt. First pair Al & Cath took a few balls to remember what it was all about, then got into their stride running some great singles and making the most of some overthrow. Finishing on 235 /1.

2nd pair Lou & Kate batted well together, and despite a moment of confusion leading to a wicket, put on 50 runs finishing on 286/2!

3rd pair, Charlie & Zoe took up the bat and finished the innings in style adding 49 runs, for an impressive net score of 355/2.

The second innings got underway with some strong bowling, and wicket in the 4th over, with the 1st pair finishing on 239/1.

2 more wickets fell in the 2nd pair, thanks to some great work in the field. After two pairs Churt were on 263/3. Leaving the 3rd pair with a steep 92 runs to get!.

Despite a great effort from the 3rd pair, Grayshott were on fire and took 7 wickets in 4 overs, including a triple wicket over in the last from Al!

Churt finished on 254/11.

It was a great evening of cricket, and so fun to get back to the fast and furious indoor format.

Bring on week 2!
