Softball Friendly vs Liphook

On a scorching Sunday afternoon at Broxhead, the Grayshott Chargers hosted the Liphook Ladies in a high-scoring, entertaining softball friendly clash filled with boundaries, sixes, and plenty of sporting spirit.
Liphook Ladies batted first and got off to a flying start, finding the boundary regularly and peppering the field with sixes. Their aggressive batting display saw them post an impressive 289 runs. It was also lovely to see Amanda back in the Liphook side, bringing her trademark flair and energy to the game.
In response, the Grayshott Chargers kept up the momentum, matching Liphook’s power-hitting with a barrage of boundaries and big sixes of their own. Their batters rose to the challenge, with a thrilling chase that ended in a winning total of 324 runs.
A special shoutout goes to Brit, who put in an amazing effort on her debut for the Chargers – a fantastic first game showing great promise!
It was a great game played in wonderful spirit, with smiles all round and cricket being the true winner on the day. Thanks to both teams for a fantastic afternoon - and to the excellent baking display which was a delicious way to celebrate the match!
