Northern Stars debut!

The Northern Stars (our new joint Grayshott-Aldershot Women's Hardball team) hosted Overton CC in their first league match of the season.

Northern Stars won the toss and elected to field first. Overton ended their innings in 189 for 6, off their 25 overs. Despite the pressure, the Northern Stars fielded impressively, with many standout moments including two sharp run-outs from Sophia and Francesca, and some excellent wicket keeping from Chloe.

After a short tea break, Sophia and Chloe went out to open the batting for Northern Stars. The partnership put up an impressive 112 runs, demonstrating some lovely calling and quick singles. Northern Stars showed determination and resilience but fell short by 44 runs, finishing on 139 for 5.

While not the result they hoped for, Northern Stars learnt a lot and are looking forward to the rest of their season.
