Women in action on Sunday

Broxhead was busy on Sunday afternoon, home to a Div2 softball match against Frensham for the Strikers on the lower field, and an I’Anson hardball match against Blackheath women for the Raiders on the upper.

The softball match was full of energy, with some quick running and wickets being taken. The win went to Frensham who scored 302, congrats 🥂 🙌

In the hardball match, the Raiders fielded first, showing some speed and energy in the field to chase down the ball, and take 4 wickets. With Blackheath finishing on 124/4.

The Raiders batting got underway, but unfortunately heavy rain fell during the 5th over and the match had to be abandoned.

The Chargers and Strikers are both in action on Sunday 24th. The Chargers host Farncombe Ferns at Broxhead, and the Strikers head to Chiddingfold (and are very excited about the match tea!)
