For the women's softball squad, it's always been #morethanagame. And there's no better demonstration of this than the Charity Cricket festival held recently at Broxhead.
Whether it’s a mother, sister, friend, teammate - we all know someone who has faced breast cancer. Hosting Liphook & Ripsley and Churt & Hindhead, the squad turned the pitch pink to support Breast Cancer Now, an amazing charity close to the hearts of players, families and friends across all three clubs.
The event featured three thrilling matches, with teams (wearing pink) mixed from all clubs to encourage camaraderie and competitive fun. Alongside the games, attendees enjoyed food and drink, a raffle, an auction and handmade trinket pots, all helping to boost the fundraising efforts.
Thanks to the incredible generosity and hard work of everyone involved - organisers, players, supporters, bar staff, bakers, umpires, and scorers - the evening was a resounding success, raising over £2,150 so far.
A heartfelt thank you to all who supported the event and this important cause, your contribution makes a real difference. Every run and every donation brings us closer to a cure. 🩷 🏏 🍰 🎉 🥂
