Charlie’s Promise; 2024 Charity of the year

In 2024, the Club will once again be supporting a local charity. Following the request for nominations from members, the Committee voted and Charlie’s Promise has been selected as the Club’s nominated charity for 2024.

About Charlie’s Promise

Charlie’s Promise was set up in 2023 in memory of 17 year old Charlie Cosser from Milford, whose life was taken when he became the victim of knife crime. Charlie’s family and friends are on a mission to help the fight against knife crime by raising awareness of the dangers and impacts of both carrying and using a knife.

No parent should suffer the loss of a child. We want to work with professional bodies to help the family and friends of a child lost through crime and provide them with full support – emotional and practical, to help them navigate their way through their grief and inevitable trauma.

We plan to support the Charity over the season with events to help raise much needed funds and awareness. If you’d like to get involved with the fundraising events, please get in touch with chairman@grayshottcc.co.uk.
