Grayshott Cricket Club held its AGM on 6th February, with good attendance and a clear focus on continued development both on and off the pitch - and a music bingo quiz & pizza to follow!

Honouring Service and Community at the AGM
A new Vice President, Chris Grimes, was welcomed in recognition of his significant contribution to local sport, particularly through Sport Haslemere.
We also paused to remember Brian Spencer, a much-loved Vice President whose contribution to the club over many years will never be forgotten.

We were thrilled to present Susan Jordan from our 2025 charity, The Fountain Centre, with a cheque on behalf of the club and our fundraising efforts.

Plans for 2026
The Club Development Plan focuses on:
Installing covers at Grayshott
Securing funding to the Broxhead pavilion , improving facilities for all users, with a focus on women and girls
Introduction of Walking Cricket
Continued growth of girls’ and women’s cricket, including strengthening the transition from softball to hardball
Attracting new players across men’s and women’s sections
Increasing member involvement in running the club
Strengthening the club’s social offering
Celebrating our 130 year anniversary in style at the Gala Evening on 26th September at Lythe Hill.
Thanks and Leadership Transition
A heartfelt thank you was given to all committee members and volunteers for their commitment to keeping the club moving forward.
As the outgoing Chair, Duncan Willows stepped down, thanks were expressed from President Phil Coleshill on behalf of the Club, for his dedication and hard work over his tenure.
Duncan will continued to support the Club through recruitment and disability cricket development.
