3 for 3!

An excellent weekend for our league sides as Grayshott were 3 for 3!

The 1s battled hard and following an excellent knock by Charlie Morris in the middle order they had a target to defend. The bowlers followed it up bowling Headley out and winning once again!

The 2s were winning early doors against Kingsley, when skipper Stu won the toss and had a bowl on an interesting pitch. Ben Barclay led the line taking 4 for not many, before the batters went hard and chased down the tricky target within 20 overs!

The 3s had us all on edge until the final over but won a great game at Broxhead, against Elstead. There was little to worry about as Pete Messina went about his business with a great knock. However the final over saw the scores tied and grayshott lose 2 wickets before Mikey settled the nerves and scored the winning runs!

The 4s travelled to Dorking and had a lovely afternoon in the Surrey hills. I’m reliably informed the tea was great and the beers after even better. The game saw 3 father/son combos in the Grayshott XI!

We go again next week… Up the Shotts
