Broxhead Common

A beautiful setting for cricket

Our ground at Broxhead Common, Lindford, is off Broxhead Farm Road in Lindford. The club took on the lease for the site in 2016 to provide a permanent home ground to their 3rd XI and growing youth section.

A smaller ground but a beautiful setting for cricket with the common as a backdrop for a game of cricket.

The ground is extensively used for club junior cricket and now coaching. The ground is also a popular venue for hosting Hampshire’s junior regional performance and county sides.

Enhancing the cricket experience

Developing the ground

Ten pitches exist on the square at Broxhead together with an artificial pitch and with the financial support of many organisations the club has since taking on the lease;

  • Refurbished the pavilion, introducing renewable energy as a form of heating and providing hot water.
  • Converted an overgrown field into a junior cricket ground with an artificial pitch.
  • Replaced the practice area with a modern equivalent.
  • Introduced a water irrigation system for the cricket square, harvesting some rain water.
  • Installed solar panels on the pavilion roof.
  • Replaced the artificial pitch on the upper field.
