Day 3 of the  Shotts tour to Cornwall and what a cracker of a day it turned out to be. First up straight after breakfast, all the tourists were drawn into pairs for a Crazy Golf competition. Singles winner after a four way play off was Jack Day, whilst Alistair Wheble and Paul Roberts won the pairs competition.

In the afternoon the Shotts travelled to the lovely ground of Hatherleigh, and skipper for the day was Toby Joyce. Batting first, the Shotts totalled 219 all out in 34 overs with Charles Brayshaw top scoring with 50 and Lucas Hutchinson a quick fire 41 not out, batting at 11. Useful contributions from the middle order contributing to a good total but not insurmountable.

There are not enough words for the extraordinary tea provided by Hatherleigh in their lovely new pavilion which was well appreciated by the visitors.

In the run chase, Hatherleigh set off at an express rate but the change bowlers of Jack Day and Paul Scanlon broke the deadlock. An injury to Scanners brought Riley Day into the attack who with his first ball hit the stumps as the Shotts ran out eventual comfortable winners with Taylor Newcombe missing out on a hat trick.

After the game there was an opportunity for the tourists to be pictured together in their tour shirts before returning to Bude with everyone joining in for a curry meal well organised by Ali and Toby.
