As planned and just in time for the return of outdoor sport, our outdoor nets at Grayshott received a major refurbishment last week. The work undertaken by Total Play who undertook the original installation included.

  1. Removal of all batting and bowling surfaces
  2. Playing Surface Aggregates agitated and re-levelled
  3. Shock Pads turned over
  4. Installation of the new batting woven carpet as approved by ECB, together with another coaching aid for bowlers.
  5. New bowling end surfaces.
  6. Replacement of all the batting and bowling ends mesh curtains
  7. Re tensioning of wires

Some repairs to the green netting have yet to be undertaken but as you can see this facility is a great one for our members. The project partially funded by the club would not have been possible without the support of the Community Infrastructure Fund, Grayshott Parish Council. Ferris Cowper and everyone who supported our Crowdfunding page last year. A huge thank you.

You can see some more photos here of the nets before, during and after the installation.

We just await the guidance to apply from 29th March that will hopefully allow us to bring them into use
