The days of painfully trying to water the cricket square have now gone at Broxhead following the installation of a water sprinkler system by Glen Farrow. With ever increasing hot spells of weather each it has become increasingly difficult to water the cricket square at Broxhead which suffers from very poor water pressure. The existing process was very resource hungry and inefficient.
The new system allows automatic nightime watering of the cricket square when evaporation is at its lowest and allows for some rain water harvesting from the pavilion roof. You can see more pictures of the installation and the sprinklers in action here.
The project could not have been completed without the support of EHDC Developers Contributions, Whitehill Town Council, Three Parishes Fund, and supporters from our Crowdfunding page. The club is extremely grateful for the supported provided.
