Shotts 2017 Season underway with two wins

The 2017 season got off to a great start for the Shotts with two wins in the new format of the game.

Our 2nd XI were comfortable winners at Frensham winning  by 10 wickets. Rob Gregory bagged five wickets, just missing out on a hat trick. James Cavannagh scored a half century well supported by Alistair Wheble in his maiden 2nd XI game for the Shotts.

The 3rd XI also won in an exciting finish against Puttenham 2nd XI, with both sides featuring a few 1st XI players. Toby Joyce continued his good form from last year bagging four wickets. Robbie Judge led the Grayshott response scoring 95, but it was left to skipper Stuart Kennedy for the day to steer the Shotts home with an unbeaten half century.

Congratulations to Barrie Owen and Guy Drake who made their 3rd XI debuts
