Frensham CC U10 vs Grayshott CC U10
Match started @ 14:00 Grayshott CC Win by 18 runs
The match was a first for this set of players for two reasons; firstly it was the start of the season and we were greeted by glorious sunshine and 25 degrees, secondly it was the first game for them after making the transition to hard ball cricket. Water breaks were essential every 10 overs, the wickets keepers were suffering particularly in the heat. The wicket was green, as to be expected at this point in the season, the outfield grass was a bit long which helped keep the scoring down.
Frensham batted first and made a slow start making 22 off the first 10 overs losing 2 wickets, giving a net score of 12. They accelerated over the last 10 making an additional 28 but losing a further 4 wickets. When all was taken into account this gave Grayshott a total of 145 to chase. Laclan Milne top scored on 10. The bowling was quite tight for the first game of the season with only 11 wides in total, and a well done to our new keeper Felix only conceding 3 byes.
Grayshott started at a similar pace after 10 overs Grayshott had scored 23 but with no wickets lost. The second 10 overs we scored 36 with only 3 wickets lost. Lucas Macaulay top scoring on 15. The final score for Grayshott was 163, a great result against a strong Frensham team.
