Grayshott U15 Foxes travelled to the St James Hospital ground of Portsmouth & Southsea for a very enjoyable game of cricket.

Ali and Freddie, long time Hampshire team mates tossed up and P&S decided to bat first. Grayshott had a strong side and were able to rotate their bowlers to ensure everyone got at least two overs.

Collingham (42*) batted well for the hosts and dropped anchor for most of the innings as his team mates came and went.

All of the Grayshott attack bowled well and once the leg spinners found their length managed to produce some great deliveries to beat the edge on numerous occasions.

Guy who had beaten the outside edge for most of his 3 overs finally cleaned up the other opener for 1. Hayden quickly picked up two wickets with a catch and a stumping from Ali and when George dismissed Freddie with a well flighted ball P&S were behind the 8 ball.

Lucas picked up a wicket with a catch from Charlie.

Ben ran out Malik with a direct hit from cover and the home side limped to 93-6 off their 20 overs.

The batting was selected from random and then renegotiated to allow Lucas and Billy to open.

The Portsmouth & Southsea radar was a little off to start with but Billy was quick to jump on anything loose. He raced to 20 whilst Lucas was more watchful when he did finally get some strike.

Billy played the accurate Freddie for the first two overs and then cut and drove 3 boundaries before going for a big six when he had reached 39. Nay bowled a straight one and Billy was bowled.

Ali joined Lucas and the pair very comfortably took Grayshott to the target with just under 5 overs to spare. Lucas finishing 13 not out and Ali 17 Not out.

So back to 2nd in the league and 3 games to go. A very impressive team performance.
