Parents in the first instance should contact our Youth Manager Graham Sampson.

The Club provides both Winter Indoor Coaching Sessions throughout November, February and March of each year, together with Outdoor Sessions through May to July inclusive by qualified coaches. To attend these sessions you will need to become a member. Click here for full details of our coaching programme
To help provide an insight into what the club offers young members the Club has produced a booklet "Information for Parents and Guardians". This booklet details all the codes of conduct and policies that the club has adopted together with plenty of useful information for parents and our new junior members.
Our Youth section cannot function without the correct level of parental support. The club is keen to involve parents and guardians with the running of the club. In particular, we are always looking for help with our coaching sessions and support roles as we look to improve the quality of coaching we offer.
You do not need to have a knowledge of the game, but if you do all the better. Anyone interested in helping out please contact Youth Manager Graham Sampson on 01420 88616.
The Club is delighted to announce that it has achieved its Clubmark re-accreditation in May 2011 and has received the following communication from Greig Stewart Club Development Officer at the Rose Bowl:
"Grayshott has proved itself to be among the strongest junior cricket clubs in the County. A community focussed club with a very friendly atmosphere, the quality of coaching that takes place is exemplary and continues to give young cricketers the opportunity to achieve their potential. The success of the club is testament to the hard work of a group of committed volunteers and the Hampshire Cricket Board would like to thank all those involved in creating such a positive environment. We wish the club the best for the 2011 season and hope to see even more people getting actively involved as players or volunteers in the coming years."
Clubmark accreditation has to be renewed every three years and like many things in life the expectations and standards have increased and Grayshott has achieved them.
Sport England's Clubmark is a cross sport accreditation for sports clubs with junior sections in recognition of a quality club.
Nearly half of all children and young people are members of sports clubs outside school and it is very important that these clubs serve young people well. Until recently there were few guidelines and little support available to most clubs to develop and assess themselves. Clubmark sets core and common criteria for sports clubs to meet in the following categories:
- Child Protection
-
Coaching & Competition
- Sports Equity & Ethics
- Club Management
We will receive support from sports development professionals and improve the quality of coaches in the club so that our club can be even more successful and competitive. We will be better organised and resourced as a club and able to further develop.
In short we have proved that GCC are recognised as a safe, effective child friendly club with a vibrant and healthy infrastructure.
