On Saturday Grayshott Cricket Club came together to commemorate the life of Peter Clapham who supported the club in so many ways for 70 years of his life. See here some photos from the day
It was a great occasion with so many members past and present along with friends of the club coming along to celebrate Peter’s life.
Club President Phil Coleshill who has just happened to be celebrating his 60th Birthday organised with his wife Cathy, sons Will and Ollie a wonderful reception for all guests before the game between the Club XI and the Peter Clapham XI skippered by son Gary.
An excellent game of cricket, won by the club XI by just three runs was interrupted by the infamous Grayshott tea and the ladies of Grayshott again did the club proud with Devi Sriharan, Barbara Roberts and Karen Sampson producing a sumptuous tea for everyone.
At the end of the game it was an emotional time as words and thoughts were all about Peter as the plaque was unveiled in the pavilion and the seat kindly donated by the Clapham family was already getting plenty of use.
