Broxhead Charity Shield

 

Grayshott have again entered a team into the Broxhead Charity Shield organised by Lindford Cricket Club. It is a eight a side competition to be played with all the benefits going to the winning team's named charity.

 

The Shield has kindly been sponsored by Ken Mansell.

 

Competition Rules

 

- Eight players a side
- 16 x 6 Ball Overs
- Maximum 4 overs a bowlers
- Eight teams in two groups of four
- Four points for a win
- Two point for a tie - Wickets lost will not be a deciding factor
- No points for a defeat
- Bonus points as follows; 1 point for scoring 120 or more, 1 point for for bowling a side out
- Abanadoned matches two points each
- Players must be regular team players

 

 

2005

Grayshott beat Churt in the final of the inaugural Broxhead Charity Shield at Lindford by two wickets.

 

2006

 

In 2006, Grayshott were just pipped at the post to reach the semi finals.

 

2007

 

In 2007 the Shotts were and beaten by Churt in the final.

 

2008

 

In 2008 the Shotts were beaten by Churt in the semi final.
