About Us
If you are interested in joining the club you will have lots of questions to ask. Detailed below are some questions frequently asked.
Where do you play?
Grayshott play most of their home fixtures at the Sportsfield, off the Headley Road in Grayshott. The ground is in a pleasant setting and the pitch is of a good standard. Our Saturday 3rd XI play their home matches at Bordon.
How much cricket do you play?
Lots, The club runs three Saturday sides and one Sunday side. Grayshott also enters into three midweek knock- out restricted over competitions.
In 2006 the club successfully introduced Girls and Womens cricket which in 2007 will compete in the Hampshire development league
The club also has a thriving youth section.
The club also run youth sides for the U9, U11, U13, U15 age groups and a Girls team who play evening matches and on Sunday mornings.
What competitions do you play in?
On a Saturday, the club currently plays in the I'Anson and Miller Cup Competitions which are Divisions one, three and five out of five Divisions.
The clubs we play are all within a 15 mile radius of Grayshott and all straddle the Hampshire/Surrey/Sussex border.
On a Sunday, the club plays a mixture of friendly and league matches. All of our youth teams play in the Two Counties League and Cup competitions
Are Grayshott successful?
We like to think so. In 2007 Grayshott won the I'Anson Cup and in 2002 Grayshott achieved the double winning the I'Anson Cup and Stevens Cup.
We seem to be a good cup side being regular winners of the evening knock out competitions in recent years.
Is it expensive to join the club?
No. Adult membership is £30 per year and Match Fee for a weekend game is £9 which includes a nice tea. Youth membership is £27 with a match fee of £6 when playing in adult matches.
The club does provide cricket equipment but most adult cricketers today seem to provide their own. More >>>
